One of my best Georgian Bay patterns, perfectly named Snake Burp, by one of my sons. 11 inches overall, 4oz, single no8 gold Colorado blade. If you're not throwing fat maribou tails with smaller, single blades, you should be!

My Hand-Made Tackle & Lure Painting
A batch of custom muskie re-paints I did for for my buddy Pat Tryon, Head Guide at Chaudiere Lodge, on the French River. He hammers fish up there on the classic, spotted, 'strawberry' patterns. He asked for my take on it, so here we go: Chaudberry Jakes, Believers, Stalkers and Perchbaits!
Boo! My all-time best muskie bucktail dressing will always be maribou and chicken hackles. Left: no7 single fluted. Mid: double no8 Colorados. Right: no8 single fluted. Those are 3 colour combos that catch muskie from Lake Nipissing to The French River to any number of zones on Georgian Bay. Fluted blades are one of my most consistently popular choices.

I love working and fishing with bucktail. It's a totally under-used dressing for muskie and pike spinners. These are all 11' long, but with very different weighting set-ups and blades. Everything from a no5 French/Aglia blade to no8 Fluted. Easy to burn fast and nothing casts farther and with less effort.
One of my hand-poured and hand-tied spinnerbaits. A wild custom, white belly perch with small, burner willowleaf blades. And yes, that's a matte grey blade!

A big-water pattern I did on a Drifter Tackle, 10" Jake. Lots of aqua, silver pearl and golds in it.
Deadly: chatterbaits tied in chicken hackle, maribou and bucktail. Unbeatable for our pike-filled bass waters up here. More "breathing" action behind that chatter blade than any soft plastic on earth. These throw like a bomb (top: 3/8oz, bottom: 3/4oz) and are one of our best lures for smallmouth and largemouth bass. Pike, too!
